20-08-2013 Tuesday - Dawson/Border/Chicken/Tok/Barley Farm/Fairbanks
Travelling today from Dawson to Fairbanks.
The ferry used to cross the Yukon river. This is only used in summer, in winter when the river is frozen they just drive across.

Tok, we had a burger at "Fast Eddy's".
We had a surprise stop at a family run Barley Farm, Wrigley Farm.
The season was late this year, it was half way through May before spring planting.

They mill their barley into flour & a porridge blend.
After the tour we had some homemade barley treats, it started to rain before we boarded the coach.
