14-07-2013 Sunday - Lonsdale Quay, Stanley Park & Picnic Dinner

After a disturbed sleep, John set up the computer gear - was unable to connect to the internet though.

After breakfast Andrew & Lindsay took all of us to Deep Cove - we had a Honey's Doughnut which are very popular - quite nice.

This is a place Andrew and Lindsay like to sit up on the park area on a couple of decent deck chair type park seats and just relax and take in the view and they could walk here if they wanted.

A quick visit to Lonsdale Quay - a shopping/open air market on the weekend.

Then onto Stanley Park for a drive/walk around the waterfront. Lots of bikeriders and people walking.

The Lionsgate bridge in the background.

Lindsay & Andrew in front of the Totem Poles at Stanley Park.  We only got to see a small portion of the park and will visit again another day.

We followed a dear from where we were staying around to a nearby park we were walking to for a picnic dinner. We last saw it munching on plants in someone's backyard.  Steven spotted a skunk on our first night and there have been lots of bear spottings in the neighbourhood (We haven't encountered one yet.) Mick is heavily involved in making sure the neighbourhood is kept up to date with what the bears are up to and making sure rubbish is dealt with properly so as not to attract them.

View from the park where we had dinner. It is staying light/twilight until around 10.30pm.
